Job summary

Corewell Health in Royal Oak, MI, seeks a CPD Technician to inspect, disinfect, assemble, and distribute patient care instruments in accordance with AAMI standards. You will be the first point of care for sterile equipment and support Surgical Services and other departments.

Requirements include a high school diploma, completion of a sterile processing program, and CSPDT or CRCST certification within 1 year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a sterile processing program required.
• CSPDT or CRCST certification within 1 year required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, disinfect and assemble sterile instruments per standards.
• Test equipment and ensure proper sterilization and labeling.
• Prioritize processing based on surgical schedules and needs.
• Serve as a role model and resource to peers in sterile processing.
• Monitor equipment and submit repair requests as needed.
