Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a CPD Technician at Royal Oak Hospital to process and sterilize surgical instrumentation, maintain central processing equipment, and support perioperative teams in instrument distribution.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3 years of sterile processing experience, and progressive leadership. Certifications (CIS, CRCST, CER, CSPDT, CSPM, CHL) are preferred and may be required on hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of relevant experience in sterile processing or related field required.
• Demonstrated progressive leadership required.
• Certification: CSPDT, CRCST, CIS, CER, CHL, CSPM, CSPER or related certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Process and sterilize surgical instrumentation and related equipment.
• Audit sterile processing equipment, perform diagnostic testing and ensure instrument availability.
• Collaborate with perioperative team to identify process improvements and equipment needs.
• Serve as a resource on processing standards and certification requirements.
