Job summary

South Shore Health is seeking a Sterile Processing lead to coordinate department workflow and supervise staff in the SPD. You will oversee QA/PI activities, education and training, and ensure compliance with universal precautions.

The role requires 3–5 years of sterile processing experience in an acute care hospital and strong leadership and communication skills. You will assist in planning staff meetings and drive quality initiatives in a busy SPD.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma; CRCST preferred.
• Three to five years in Central Services with supervisory experience preferred.
• Must lead others and communicate effectively; basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in QA/PI; documents controls and maintains records.
• Supervises shift operations, assigns tasks and resolves issues.
• Manages ordering and inventory of Central Services supplies.
• Utilizes technology to generate pick lists and track time.
• Promotes safety and adherence to Universal Precautions.
• Supports staff development and ensures department goals.
