Job summary

South Shore Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Department leader to coordinate workflow, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with universal precautions. You will participate in QA/PI and oversee documentation of sterilization processes while guiding staff performance and training.

The role requires leadership in instrument processing, decontamination, sterilization, and cart assembly, under the CPD Manager to meet department goals and system-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum education is High School Diploma, CRCST preferred.
• One to two years of supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in QA/PI program and maintains documentation of sterilization processes.
• Oversees department QA/PI, shift quality, and records; communicates findings to Manager.
• Performs equipment and supplies organization, inventory, and repair monitoring.
• Delivers technology and electronic tracking tools to improve workflows.
• Maintains safety standards and universal precautions per CDC and SSH policies.
• Provides coaching and staff development to CPD employees and promotes teamwork.
