Job summary

South Shore Health in Quincy, MA is seeking a Sterile Processing Department supervisor to coordinate workflow, oversee QA reporting, orient and train new techs, and guide staff to ensure efficient, compliant operations in a busy acute care hospital.

You will supervise equipment testing, monitor sterilization processes, maintain records, participate in monthly staff meetings, and foster teamwork across the SPD while upholding Universal Precautions and hospital safety policies.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of sterile processing experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• One to two years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong attention to documentation and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Participates in QA/PI programs and maintains sterilization documentation.
• Identifies problems and communicates with management to meet service needs.
• Assists in ordering, inventory, and equipment procurement for SPD.
• Leverages technology to track assets and generate case cart pick lists.
• Promotes safety culture and ensures compliance with CDC guidelines.
