Job summary

MP RPO seeks a Sterile Processing Supervisor to oversee the SPD operations, ensuring safe reprocessing of instruments and compliance with CMS, AAMI, AORN, and APIC guidelines.

You will lead staff, manage inventory and budgeting, coordinate with surgical services, and drive Lean initiatives to improve efficiency, patient safety, and service quality. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and a commitment to HIPAA and infection prevention standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Sterile Processing supervisory experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of Sterile Processing experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management, Lean methodologies, Organizational Behavior, and Change Management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Sterile Processing Department operations to ensure compliance with CMS, AAMI, AORN and APIC standards.
• Manage instrument inventory, scheduling, and throughput to support surgical cases.
• Lead staff recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and ongoing education.
• Drive quality improvement and Lean initiatives to enhance workflow, safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with clinical departments and facilities to ensure timely instrument availability.
