Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Sterile Processing Logistics Manager to coordinate the movement of surgical instruments across SPD, OR, ASC and offsite reprocessing locations. You will ensure timely delivery, accurate tracking, and efficient instrument turnaround to support surgical schedules and inventory optimization.

You will liaise with SPD leadership, perioperative services, supply chain and external vendors, overseeing instrument repair logistics, tray builds and depot

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CRCST – HSPA or CBSPD certification required.
• Minimum of 4 years sterile processing experience in sterile processing and/or leadership role.
• Knowledge of sterilization principles, microbiology, and infection prevention practices.
• Knowledge of instrument names, functions, and specialty sets.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate flow of instruments across SPD, OR, ASC and offsite locations.
• Serve as liaison between SPD, perioperative services, supply chain, OEMs and vendors.
• Oversee instrument repair logistics, service agreements and tray processes.
• Monitor tray inventory levels and depot operations.
• Collaborate with SPD site managers on budget planning and with OR coordinators on case demand.
