The role requires leadership, adherence to AAMI and AORN practices, and preventing delays in instrument availability across the perioperative services. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related experience may substitute.
• CRCST from HSPA or CSPDT from CBSPD is required or equivalent certification.
• Advanced certification within 6 months of hire (e.g., CIS, CSIS, CER, CFER, CHL, CSPM).
• Maintain certifications via CEUs and renewals.
• Knowledge of AAMI and AORN practices is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and leadership to SPD staff.
• Oversee instrument tracking systems and related training.
• Perform assembly and sterilization tasks as needed.
• Oversee decontamination, sterilization, and case cart assembly.
• Ensure adherence to turnaround times and deadlines.
