Job summary

South Shore Health seeks an experienced Sterile Processing/CPD supervisor to coordinate department workflow, ensure QA compliance, and lead training initiatives in a hospital setting.

The role requires 3–5 years in Central Services, plus supervisory experience. VDL license is required and CRCST certification is preferred. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for achieving department goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma (CRCST preferred).
• 3–5 years of Central Services/sterile processing in acute care; 1–2 years supervisory experience preferred.
• VDL – Valid Driver’s License required.
• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation, case cart assembly and aseptic technique; lead others to goals; basic computer skills; strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Participates in QA/PI programs and maintains sterilization documentation.
• Monitors shift QA, prints sterilizer logs, and ensures timely corrective actions.
• Oversees equipment operation and ensures supply availability and inventory control.
• Directs staff through rounds, shift reports, and communication; drives process improvements.
• Maintains safety culture; adheres to Universal Precautions and OSHA guidelines.
• Supports CPD Manager with staff development and department goals.
