Job summary

Mercy Health in Youngstown, OH seeks a Stepdown Registered Nurse to deliver patient-centered care on a fast-paced unit. You will assess, plan, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, administer medications, and advocate for patient safety and quality improvement.

BSN preferred; current RN license in-state or compact; 36 hours weekly, dayshift, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a strong commitment to compassionate care and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of work or compact state.
• BLS or ACLS preferred; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• CCRN preferred; PCCN preferred.
• NIH Stroke Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes data, plans care, implements treatment, evaluates effectiveness.
• Administers medications safely per state rules and hospital policy.
• Acts as patient safety advocate and coordinates care across departments.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team and supports patient teaching.
• Supports quality improvement and aligns care with nursing standards.
