Job summary

Mercy Health in Boardman, Ohio is seeking a Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver patient care using the nursing process during nights on a full-time schedule (7:00 pm – 7:30 am).

The RN will perform initial and ongoing assessments, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, coordinate care across departments, and advocate for patients and families while supporting quality improvement initiatives within the unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year RN experience required; new grads welcome.
• Current RN license in the state they are practicing.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness.
• Administers medications in a safe manner consistent with policies and procedures.
• Serves as point of contact for patient care coordination across hospital departments.
• Participates in ongoing quality improvement to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
• Collaborates with spiritual, palliative, and ethics teams to support patient care.
• Manages care for patients with complex or multisystem conditions.
