Job summary

Mercy Health in Youngstown, OH seeks a Stepdown RN to deliver patient care using the nursing process, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and coordinate patient teaching. The role requires a current RN license, BLS/ACLS as applicable, and strong clinical judgment.

The position is per diem (PRN) with 24 hours required in a 6-week period. You’ll join a faith-based, patient-focused organization offering competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact
• BLS/ACLS preferred at hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire
• CCRN/PCCN/NIH Stroke certs preferred where applicable

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop plans of care.
• Administer medications safely according to policy and procedures.
• Coordinate patient care across hospital departments with the care team.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
