Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Progressive Care (Step down) Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care across Med-Surg and ICU interfaces. You will assess patient status, develop care plans, coordinate across disciplines and ensure a safe, therapeutic environment.

Requirements include 1 year of RN experience (2+ preferred in acute care), current RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience required.
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Current state licensure as an RN.
• BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred at hire; ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness.
• Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments.
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization’s policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
