Job summary

Colorado School of Mines is seeking a dedicated UBMS Coordinator to support the Upward Bound Math and Science program at Alameda International Jr/Sr High School. You will implement activities, recruit participants, and mentor students to boost college readiness in STEM fields.

The role emphasizes relationship-building with the high school, Mines, and external partners, plus data-driven program assessment. Background in TRIO programs is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in education, counseling, STEM discipline, social work or related field.
• Professional experience with students in an advising, mentoring, or leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, implementation and assessment.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across a broad spectrum of constituents.
• One year experience with TRIO programs or similar program.
• Strong communication skills and organizational ability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the implementation, oversight and evaluation of all Upward Bound Math and Science grant program activities.
• Assist in recruiting and selection of participants per eligibility criteria.
• Provide and coordinate direct support to 60 UBMS participants.
• Develop and promote engagement with curriculum, college preparedness activities and events.
• Build relationships with Mines and Alameda International Jr/Sr High School staff and partners.
• Assist with data collection, reporting, and program assessment.
• Engage with local, regional, and national community partners.
