The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is seeking an Upward Bound Math & Science Advisor to plan, implement, and deliver pre-college services designed to prepare eligible high school students for STEM pathways and postsecondary success. You will collaborate with the UBMS Program Director to ensure compliance with grant objectives and build partnerships with schools and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, counseling, higher education administration, healthcare, STEM, or related fields.
• Experience working with low-income, first-generation, underrepresented student populations.
• Experience providing academic advising, counseling, mentoring, or student support services.
• Experience designing and facilitating educational workshops and programming.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct student advising, counseling, and mentoring to UBMS participants.
• Coordinate outreach, recruitment, and informational sessions at target schools and community sites.
• Manage a caseload of 60 UBMS participants with individualized education plans.
• Develop and coordinate STEM-focused workshops and college-readiness activities.
• Track data for program evaluation and federal reporting.
• Assist with program administration, budgeting, and compliance.
