Frederick Community College is seeking a Learning Assistant I/II/III: Peer/Professional Tutor STEM to support students, colleagues and faculty both on campus and online.

The role includes tutoring, lab supervision, and helping with learning software; candidates should value diversity and be able to adapt teaching styles. Part-time, variable schedule, with pay rate $15.45-$18.78 per hour, dependent on placement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent for LAI/II.
• College-level coursework with a B or better (LAI/II).
• 2 years prior employment/volunteer/internship (LAI/II).
• Associate Degree or equivalent experience (LAIII).

Responsibilities

• Tutor students individually or in groups on campus or online.
• Engage diverse learners and adapt to varied cultural backgrounds.
• Monitor learning environment and assist with learning tech.
• Provide technical/software support to students.
• Maintain records and assist with administrative tasks.
• Refer students to campus services as needed.
• Lead study sessions or workshops (LAIII).
• Act as resource and mentor to LAI/II colleagues.
