Job summary

UW-Stevens Point is seeking a Peer Tutor - STEM to support fellow students on campus in the Tutoring-Learning Center. The role focuses on helping peers achieve learning goals while you grow professionally, with flexible on-campus hours and a starting wage of $12.00 per hour.

You will tutor in STEM and participate in training to apply tutoring procedures, develop study skills, and communicate effectively with staff and students, contributing to a welcoming, inclusive learning environment on

Qualifications

• Completed at least one semester at UWSP with at least two semesters remaining.
• GPA 3.0 or higher and/or a faculty recommendation letter.
• Available to tutor for at least two semesters.
• Willing to work with peers in a collaborative, inclusive learning environment.
• Enjoy helping others learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring and support in one of our service areas.
• Assist learners in the development of effective study skills and test-taking strategies.
• Learn and continually apply TLC and tutoring program procedures.
• Regularly check staff email and communicate with other staff members.
• Attend required orientations, meetings, and training sessions.
