Job summary

Minerals Technologies Inc. seeks a Steel Mill Service Manager to lead installation, maintenance, and repair of Minscan systems in steel mills and related environments. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure safe, reliable operation and efficient service delivery.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, willingness to travel, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Industrial safety and site familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Read and use test equipment and tools.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, setup, and commissioning at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software issues.
• Repair, maintain, and calibrate Minscan systems.
• Diagnose failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Support during outages and emergency service calls.
• Ensure equipment operates per specs and document activities.
• Maintain tools, spare parts, and equipment records.
• Provide training and technical support to customers and staff.
• Follow safety requirements in industrial environments.
• Travel to customer locations for service activities.
