Job summary

Minteq, a Minerals Technologies company, seeks a Service Manager to lead steel mill service operations in the USA. You will drive safety, staffing, and operations across the SMS group, oversee performance metrics, and coordinate with customers and internal teams to meet service goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering or related field, or 5+ years in refractory sales or industrial manufacturing.
• Prior supervision experience and strong sales, marketing, customer service and business sense.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to travel as needed and operate in a safety‑driven industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety requirements for the Steel Mill Service team are met.
• Manage shop operations and oversee SMS group functions including safety and payroll.
• Drive operational excellence and implement key business metrics.
• Oversee financial performance and cost control for Field Operations.
• Provide monthly Field Operations reporting and coordinate with customers and internal departments.
• Staff projects and material trials; collaborate with HR on policies and union contracts.
