Sun Life U.S. is seeking a detail-focused Claims Specialist to join our Group Benefits Claims Shared Services team. You will primarily handle Short Term Disability (STD) claim setups, review documentation, and file creation to support Case Managers.

In a production-driven role, you will manage a high volume of tasks, adjust priorities, and collaborate with different teams. You'll help train new hires and contribute to process improvements while upholding accuracy and client service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Review new STD documents and set up claims in systems.
• Create claim files and follow up for missing information.
• Provide administrative support to Case Managers during adjudication.
• Serve as SME for new hires and participate in training.
