Job summary

Sun Life U.S. is a leading provider of employee and government benefits, offering a broad portfolio of services nationwide. This role sits in the Group Benefits Claims Shared Services team, focusing on short term disability claim setup in a high-volume production environment.

You will review STD documents, set up claims in Ultera/CHESS/GCS, and support Case Managers while acting as a subject matter expert for new hires. Strong MS Office skills and a team-oriented mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows and MS Office (Excel/Word).
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Review new and existing STD claim documentation and create claim files.
• Set up new STD claims in Ultera, CHESS and GCS systems.
• Provide support to Case Managers with adjudication tasks.
• Serve as SME for new hires and participate in training.
• Provide input and recommendations to Management on business processes.
