Job summary

Sun Life U.S. is seeking a production-focused member of the Group Benefits Claims Shared Services team to handle short term disability (STD) claim setup and related administrative tasks. You will review documents, create claim files, and follow up for missing information while supporting Case Managers and other teams.

The role emphasizes time management, accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree is preferred, with opportunities to train and mentor new hires.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft applications (Excel, Word).
• Good communication (oral and written) skills.
• Excellent time management in fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Strong working knowledge of systems applications.

Responsibilities

• Review new and existing claim documentation, create claim files, and follow up for missing information.
• Provide support to Case Managers by completing a variety of administrative tasks surrounding the adjudication of claims.
• Set up new STD claims in Ultera, CHESS and GCS claim systems.
• Serve as an SME for new hires.
• Participate in training other team members as needed.
