Job summary

Sun Life U.S. is seeking a production-focused claims associate to join the Group Benefits Claims Shared Services team, handling short term disability claim setup and related adjudication support.

The role manages a high volume of tasks, prioritizes for clients, and collaborates with Case Managers to complete documentation and processing efficiently. You will set up new STD claims in Ultera, CHESS and GCS systems, review documents, and participate in training and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Windows and MS Office (Excel/Word).
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage time in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Review new and existing STD claim docs and create files.
• Provide admin support to Case Managers during adjudication.
• Set up new STD claims in Ultera/CHESS/GCS systems.
• Participate in training and process improvement initiatives.
• Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
