Job summary

Sun Life U.S. is a leading provider of employee and government benefits, offering dental, vision, disability, life, and health coverage across the U.S. This role sits in the Group Benefits Claims Shared Services team, focusing on short term disability claims setup and high-volume processing.

You will review documents, create claim files, and support Case Managers with adjudication tasks; you may train new hires and contribute to process improvements within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft applications (MS Excel, MS Word).
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Excellent time management in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review new STD documents and set up claims in claim systems.
• Create claim files and follow up for missing information.
• Provide administrative support to Case Managers.
• Serve as SME for new hires and support department initiatives.
• Input and analyze data to suggest process improvements.
