Job summary

Sun Life U.S. is seeking a production-focused applicant to join the Group Benefits Claims Shared Services team. You will review STD documents, set up new claims in Ultera, CHESS and GCS, and support Case Managers with adjudication-related tasks.

This role emphasizes time management in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to train others and contribute to process improvements. Bachelor’s degree preferred; strong computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft applications (MS Excel, MS Word).
• Good communication (oral and written) skills.
• Excellent time management in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Review new Short Term Disability (STD) documents.
• Set up new STD claims in Ultera, CHESS and GCS claim systems.
• Provide support to Case Managers with administrative tasks surrounding adjudication.
• Participate in training other team members as needed.
• Provide input and recommendations on business processes.
