Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Faculty Advisor for Mathematics and Statistics to support higher education customers with expert pedagogy and Pearson product implementation. This remote role targets instructors at the college level, requiring mastery in Statistics and significant teaching experience.

The position emphasizes collaboration with administrators, development of training materials, and alignment of digital tools with learning outcomes across Mathematics and Statistics.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in assigned discipline area (Statistics) is required.
• At least 5 years of full-time teaching experience at the collegiate level (university, college, community college) in Statistics is required.
• Power-user experience with Pearson MyLab is required.
• Knowledge and experience in multiple fields in Mathematics and Statistics preferred; experience with Data Science and/or Engineering highly desirable.
• Online teaching experience preferred.
• LMS experience preferred.
• Experience with Copilot and other Generative AI tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with course-level administrators, providing discipline experience and digital product knowledge, to advise on the right integration of Pearson digital products and implementation that will best support teaching and learning goals.
• Consult on digital assessment, grading, and reporting strategies; Provide deep understanding and best practices knowledge instructing with MyLab.
• Consult with customers on modifying or creating content.
• Create department-specific training resources such as videos, guides, and live as well as recorded webinars as needed.
• Consult with Productteams to advise on development of new platforms, tools, and features.
• Partner with Sales in campaigns, calls and meetings, demonstrations, and other sales enablement initiatives.
• Use a set of success metrics and reporting structures to provide customers as well as internal stakeholders with written documentation of the recommendations and evolution of the course design and implementation.
