Connecticut Developmental Services (DDS) – Southbury Training School in Southbury, CT seeks a Stationary Engineer to operate, maintain and repair boilers and related equipment. This full-time, 37.5-hour weekly position emphasizes boiler room operations, inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance to ensure safe and reliable heating for our facilities.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of steam boilers or significant auxiliary boiler room equipment.
• Incumbents may be required to possess and retain appropriate licenses, permits and/or certifications.
• Incumbents must have physical fitness to perform duties and may need a physical exam.

Responsabilités

• Operate, monitor and inspect boiler room equipment and records; issue instructions as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on boilers and related systems.
• Supervise boiler operations and provide technical guidance to staff.
