Job summary

The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) in Connecticut is seeking a Stationary Engineer for Southbury, CT. Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of steam boilers or significant boiler room equipment.
• Possession and retention of appropriate licenses, permits and/or certifications may be required.
• Adequate physical strength and stamina; ability to work in dusty, noisy and hot environments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect boiler room gauges, indicators, charts and records and issue necessary instructions to staff.
• Maintain and repair boiler room equipment and boilers.
• Perform boiler water analyses and determine treatment.
• Monitor equipment performance and perform preventive maintenance.
• Supervise boiler operations and maintain operating records.
