Job summary

Mount Sinai Campus, part of Trinity Health Of New England, seeks a Full-Time Day Shift Engineer to operate and maintain hospital mechanical systems and equipment, including high-pressure steam boilers, chillers, and Building Management Systems. The role supports 24/7 operations and requires safety‑minded, dependable professionals.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of boiler operation/repair experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in operation and repair of high pressure steam boilers and auxiliary equipment.
• Healthcare facility setting experience preferred.
• Level I OE-2 Operating Stationary Engineer License required.
• State of Connecticut Heating/Piping/Cooling License (S-2, OE-2, E, P) required for Level II.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain hospital mechanical systems and equipment.
• Perform basic repairs of mechanical and electrical spaces.
• Ensure safe, efficient operation of boilers and chillers to provide steam or chilled water.
• Report hazards or equipment issues to supervisor.
• Support 24/7 Plant Operations with dependable performance.
