Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the operation and repair of high pressure steam boilers and auxiliary equipment.
• Level I requires OE-2 Operating Stationary Engineer License.
• Level II requires State of Connecticut Heating/Piping/Cooling License (S-2, OE-2, E, P).

Responsibilities

• Assists in operating and maintaining all hospital mechanical systems and equipment.
• Performs basic repairs of facilities' mechanical and electrical spaces to ensure function.
• Must report hazards or breakdowns to supervisor.
• Responsible for safe, efficient operation of high pressure steam boilers, auxiliary equipment, centrifugal chillers and water towers.
