Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical training in boiler operation or HVAC preferred.
• Valid NYC Stationary Engineer License required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in boiler operation and maintenance in a healthcare or industrial setting.
• Completion of a trade apprenticeship program and have five years of experience as a Stationary Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must also possess the following certificates: S-12 Citywide Sprinkler Systems, S-13 Citywide Standpipe System, G-71 Supervision of Piped Non-Flammable Medical Gases, G-60 Torch Use of Flammable Gases, F-60 Fire Guard for Torch Operations & Const. Site

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain boilers, steam engines, air compressors, and related power plant equipment.
• Monitor systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and engines.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of equipment performance and maintenance activities.
• Respond to emergency situations and perform corrective actions as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
