Job summary

SJS Executives, LLC (SJS) seeks reliable, safety-conscious Boiler Operators to join its team in Bethesda, MD. This full-time, second-shift role (2pm-10pm) covers installation, maintenance and operation of boilers and domestic heating systems for a federal government installation.

You will work with a team, perform testing and adjustments, and ensure safe operation, adhering to PPE rules and background checks. Requires 1st class boiler operator license, OSHA 10, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Real ID required under federal regulations.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Valid 1st class boiler operator license.
• OSHA 10 certification required before start.
• Knowledge of combustion, heat transfer, and boiler controls.
• Ability to pass drug test and federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Performs installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of boilers and heating equipment.
• Observes and tests systems for malfunctions; adjusts thermostats, controls and safety devices.
• Replaces defective burners, valves, motors, and associated components.
• Removes soot and ash; cleans tubes, ducts, and related components.
• Receives work orders; selects materials and tools to complete tasks safely.
• Complies with PPE and safety standards during all tasks.
