Job summary

Chevron Stations Inc (CSI) is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily store operations at our Portland area location. You will recruit, train and coach staff, manage cash handling and payroll, and ensure safety, compliance and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires retail or fuel industry management experience, strong English communication, and willingness to work varied shifts including nights and weekends. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

  • Must be sufficiently proficient in English to understand policies, safety training, and job instructions.
  • Previous managerial experience in a retail, food service or fuel environment.
  • Available to work a variety of hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations professionally and exercise good judgment.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal & written communication skills.
  • Minimum age 21 (or 18 in California and Oregon locations).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the retail facility and manage employee matters.
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, manage performance and discipline.
  • Ensure station performance across safety, compliance, finances, and operations.
  • Ensure wage & hourly compliance with local and federal requirements.
  • Uphold CSI safety, security, quality guidelines and Loss Prevention processes.
  • Maintain safe workplace and professional conduct with staff and customers.
  • Manage stock, cash handling and payroll processes.
  • Coordinate with other stations in the zone to cover staffing gaps.
