Job summary

Chevron Stations Inc. in Hayward, CA is hiring a full-time Customer Service Representative to support daily store operations, cash handling and customer service. You will assist the Station Manager, supervise staff in their absence and ensure safety and policy adherence across shifts.

Qualifications

• Must communicate in English and understand CSI policies and safety training.
• Experience in fast-paced retail, food service or fuel environment with cash handling.
• Experience operating cash registers, computer systems and related equipment.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety in food storage and service.
• Able to work varied hours including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Able to multi-task and remain professional under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
• Minimum age 21 with high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist Station Manager in day-to-day operations of the retail facility.
• Oversee station operations and staff in the Station Manager’s absence.
• Provide direction, motivation and coaching to staff during shifts.
• Adhere to safety, security, quality guidelines and CSI policies.
• Ensure wage & hour compliance and cash/money handling procedures.
• Support Loss Prevention and PPE usage; maintain cash register operations.
• Maintain courteous professional contact with customers, coworkers and vendors.
• Perform CSR duties as needed and cover shifts when required.
