Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs is seeking a Training Coordinator to strengthen statewide training for SUD and problem gambling professionals. You will help design and deliver educational opportunities that support practitioners across PA.

In this role you will assess needs, evaluate courses, recruit instructors, develop content, and coordinate Training of Trainers events. A combined focus on quality, collaboration, and accessibility is essential.

Qualifications

• Must meet PA residency requirement.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.
• Veterans' employment preference per PA law.
• Experience with adult education materials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Needs Assessment: Assess educational needs across the field to guide training decisions.
• Course Evaluation: Evaluate course content and instructor performance to maintain high-quality standards.
• Instructor Recruitment: Recruit and contract with new instructors who bring expertise and best practices.
• Content Development: Collaborate with subject matter experts to update, develop, and maintain adult education materials.
• Event Execution: Coordinate and execute Training of Trainers events for statewide audiences.
• Technical Assistance: Provide support to instructors, students, Single County Authorities, and other stakeholders.
