Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Drug and Alcohol Case Management Specialist Trainee to guide clients through assessments, service coordination, and plan development, helping them access resources for lasting recovery.

You will screen clients, assess needs, determine level of care, coordinate access to services, handle authorization documentation, and maintain confidential records in compliance with rules. Full-time, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, no telework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Dependency, Sociology, Social Welfare, Psychology, Nursing or a related field; or a degree with 18 related credits.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Client Screening: Conduct telephone and face-to-face screening of clients during initial referral contact.
• Service Assessment: Assess needs in office or community settings.
• Care Determination: Determine level of care per placement guidelines.
• Plan Coordination: Coordinate access to services and update Recovery Plans.
• Authorization Processing: Request funding authorization and complete documentation.
• Documentation Management: Maintain confidential case records.
