DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position focuses on strengthening statewide training that supports SUD, gambling professionals, and other stakeholders. As a Training Coordinator, you will perform the following duties:

  • Needs Assessment: Assess educational needs across the field to guide training decisions
  • Course Evaluation: Evaluate course content and instructor performance to maintain high-quality standards
  • Instructor Recruitment: Recruit and contract with new instructors who bring expertise and best practices
  • Content Development: Collaborate with subject matter experts to update, develop, and maintain adult education materials
  • Event Execution: Coordinate and execute Training of Trainers events for statewide audiences
  • Technical Assistance: Provide support to instructors, students, Single County Authorities, and other stakeholders

Work Schedule and Additional Information
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will be required to report to the office two days per week and for special events as necessary. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements
  • One year as an Administrative Officer 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
