Job summary

NiSource Inc. in the United States seeks a senior S&H leader to manage and direct a team of Safety & Health professionals supporting statewide safety activities.

The role provides vision for program development and resource coordination across the state, ensuring compliance with regulatory needs. You will oversee the development, implementation, and sustainability of the Safety Program, interact with regulators, supervise coordinators, and deliver reports to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain the Columbia/NiSource Safety Program.
• Plan work and allocate resources for assigned employees.
• Direct policy/standards revisions and best practices.
• Oversee safety data, indicators, loss events and near-misses reporting.
• Conduct field observations and provide improvement feedback.
• Represent the company with regulators and negotiate with authorities.
• Know when to seek counsel to assess S&H circumstances.
• Manage activities of S&H Coordinators.
• Prepare and deliver reports to senior leaders.
