Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum five years in safety, environmental, auditing, or regulatory compliance roles.
• At least two years of leadership experience.
• Ability to work independently and use professional judgment.
• Proficient with computers and office equipment; strong written communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and sustain the Safety Program across the state.
• Plan resources and oversee assigned employees.
• Develop and revise safety policies, standards and best practices.
• Monitor safety data, indicators, incident reporting, and investigation processes.
• Coordinate with regulators and interact with state/federal/local agencies.
• Lead safety meetings and cross-functional teams on improvements.
• Provide safety guidance to operations leadership and contractors.
• Train personnel on safety programs and guidelines.
