Job summary

NiSource Inc. in Columbus, OH seeks an Occupational Health Program Manager who will provide strategic and operational leadership for enterprise health and injury prevention programs, aligning with safety and business priorities.

You will lead a multidisciplinary health team, coordinate with Safety, HR, Claims, and Operations, and ensure governance, compliance, and clinical standards across NiSource operating companies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in nursing, healthcare administration, business administration, public health or related field.
• 7+ years in healthcare, clinical operations, safety, occupational health, or related leadership.
• 2+ years leading occupational health/employee health programs.
• Experience leading complex programs and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience developing programs, policies, workflows, and performance measures.
• Ability to collaborate with clinical professionals, operational leaders, and cross-functional partners.
• Experience using data and performance measures to drive improvements.
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and Occupational Health data programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and day-to-day management of enterprise occupational health and injury prevention program.
• Recruit, hire, supervise, develop, and evaluate team members.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, employee relations, and HR partnerships.
• Establish roles, workflows, and performance expectations for program delivery.
• Foster a collaborative team culture focused on safety, service, confidentiality, quality, and improvement.
• Ensure COHN competencies and scope-of-practice compliance and standard protocols.
• Serve as primary liaison with Safety, HR, Workers' Compensation, Claims, Operations, and Compliance.
• Lead ongoing program development, implementation, and evaluation aligned with priorities.
• Develop and execute program strategy in collaboration with Directors and leaders.
• Ensure processes support nursing competency and professional standards.
• Align operations with federal/state requirements, privacy, and safety standards.
• Establish KPIs to evaluate utilization, outcomes, and performance.
