Job summary

State of Washington in Tumwater, WA is seeking an Health Service Quality Assurance Project Manager within the Health Services Division. The role leads QA reviews, manages high‑risk corrective actions, and guides strategic health services projects that affect agency‑wide outcomes.

The position collaborates with clinical, operational, and executive leadership to ensure regulatory compliance and sustainable improvements across health care delivery for incarcerated individuals throughout the state.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in project, change and/or performance management.
• Experience developing, coordinating and implementing large organizations.
• Excellent communication with employees and managers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Ability to coach and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Conduct division-wide QA reviews to evaluate care delivery systems and identify gaps.
• Ensure corrective action plans remain effective, sustainable, and tracked.
• Provide formal recommendations for quality improvement based on QA findings.
• Monitor KPIs and follow up to prevent regression at facility and agency levels.
• Coordinate with IT to refine dashboards and QA visualizations.
• Oversee multi-site projects aligning with strategic goals and policies.
• Develop training, job aids, and documentation to support policy implementation.
• Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to ensure continued compliance.
