Job summary

South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) is seeking an IT professional to lead the statewide Desktop Support program. You will supervise desktop support technicians, ensure end-user technologies are deployed, supported, and maintained for agency staff statewide, and coordinate procurement and vendor services.

The role emphasizes modernizing endpoint and support processes through automation, overseeing Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, device imaging, asset tracking, and ensuring security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field; experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
• Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise desktop support operations and endpoint lifecycle management.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and mobile device management.

Responsibilities

• Direct statewide Desktop Support program: assign work, supervise technicians, ensure end-user technologies are deployed and supported.
• Oversee endpoint imaging, device provisioning, and software deployment while tracking assets and lifecycle activities.
• Lead end-user support services: monitor requests, assign/escalate, resolve hardware/software connectivity issues.
• Coordinate procurement, vendor services, warranty, and technology acquisitions with leadership and service providers.
• Plan statewide deployment and support activities to maintain standards, security, and readiness.
