The North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR) is seeking a Maintenance/Construction Technician II at Jordan Lake State Park. The role maintains park grounds, facilities and equipment, performing tasks across trades and site upkeep.

Typical schedule includes 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM; required to work outdoors in various conditions. Applicants may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of $1,000 and must meet minimum education/experience requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and one year of progressive experience in the trade areas.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• EPA-type certification (Type I/II/III or Universal) may be required per Title 40 CFR Part 82.

Responsabilités

• Perform a variety of semi-skilled tasks in trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical and/or auto mechanics.
• Operate large and small equipment and/or tools.
• Purchasing resources per state policies and procedures.
• Maintain records and prepare forms.
• Assist in housekeeping and general maintenance.
• May supervise temporary/volunteer staff on projects.
