Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Startup Operations member for SET Ops to manage new Dedicated Transportation Solutions startups and ongoing field support. The role emphasizes prioritizing tasks, guiding drivers and managers, and contributing to process documentation and system testing.

Travel is extensive (75–80%), with assignments at various locations nationwide for defined periods. Strong leadership, quick decision-making, and experience in logistics are critical for success in this position.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
• Two+ years in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or related field.
• One+ year direct supervisory/leadership experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) required, advanced level.
• Logistics industry knowledge advanced required.
• Fundamental understanding of Supply Chain Management components.

Responsibilities

• Support startup team to execute flawless onboarding per pre-established success factors.
• Ensure drivers and managers understand core operations and systems (tracking compliance, driver pay, customer billing).
• Act as a management arm to answer questions and make decisions during startup phase.
• Train new management team and Certified Driver Trainer group.
• Build out process flow and provide guidance on consistent operations.
