Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a SET Ops startup operations professional to lead new Dedicated Transportation Solutions startups and support field operations.

The role demands prioritizing tasks, managing day-to-day items, and contributing to process documentation, system testing, and design-level consulting for new product features. Extensive travel (75-80%) is required; you will be assigned to a new business location across the country for specific time frames and must relocate temporarily.

Qualifications

• Two+ years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
• One+ year or more direct supervisory/leadership experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).
• Logistics industry knowledge.
• Knowledge of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations.
• Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components.
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production.

Responsibilities

• Startup team focused on flawless execution and adheres to customer critical success factors.
• Ensure drivers and managers understand core operations and systems used for tracking compliance, driver pay, and customer billing.
• Act as an arm of management to answer questions and make quick decisions during the startup phase.
• Train new management team and Certified Driver Trainer group.
• Build out process flow and provide guidance on consistency of operations.
