Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in the United States seeks a Startup Operations team member to serve as a setup consultant for new Dedicated Transportation Solutions startups and provide ongoing support to field operations. The role focuses on driving flawless execution and training both drivers and managers.

This position requires extensive travel (about 75–80%), the ability to build process flows, manage tasks, and contribute to documentation and design-level consulting for product improvements.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
• Two+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
• One+ year direct supervisory/leadership experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) is required; advanced level.
• Logistics industry knowledge advanced required.
• Fundamental knowledge of SCM components.
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production advanced required.

Responsibilities

• Startup team focused on flawless execution and critical success factors.
• Ensure drivers and managers understand core operations and systems for tracking compliance, driver pay, and customer billing.
• Act as an arm of management to answer questions and make quick decisions during the startup phase.
• Training of new management team and Certified Driver Trainer group.
• Building out of process flow and providing guidance on consistency of operations.
