Job summary

SpaceX in Starbase, TX is seeking an experienced Structural Welder for night shift to join a specialized GSE team. You will weld and fabricate high‑stress launch hardware, read engineering drawings, and work under lead welders on complex structural weldments for Starship ground support equipment.

The role requires 2+ years of hands-on SMAW/GMAW/GTAW/FCAW experience, FCAW-G preference, and the ability to pass weld tests per AWS D1.1.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
2+ years of hands-on welding across SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, including FCAW-G; college/vo‑cational program qualifies.

Responsibilities

Complete welding assignments for construction and repair of site structural weldments on time, safely, and professionally.
Cut, trim, fit, and fabricate metal components to dimensions for test and launch hardware.
Analyze drawings and specs to plan welding operations where procedures are unavailable.
Utilize manual and semi-automatic welding processes for complex weldments.
Visually inspect welds per AWS D1.1 and obtain internal licenses or certifications as required.
Contribute to process improvements and adapt to fast-paced, changing priorities.
