Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Structural Welder for Massey’s Test Site (Starship) on the Night Shift. You will fabricate and repair stands and structures that support Starship launches, joining metal components with SMAW/GMAW/GTAW/FCAW techniques and ensuring AWS D1.1 and ASME B31.3 compliance.

You’ll work with the ground support equipment team, interpreting drawings, maintaining safety standards, and collaborating across groups to accelerate program goals.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalency required.
• 2+ years of hands-on welding experience in SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, or FCAW, including FCAW-G; college/vocational program qualifies.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and repair site structural stands and supports per drawings and specs.
• Interpret engineering drawings under lead welder supervision to plan operations.
• Operate welding and flame-cutting equipment to join components for aerospace ground support structures.
• Visually inspect welds to AWS D1.1 and ASME B31.3 standards.
