Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Welder for the Starship Launch Hardware program, night shifts, to join a fast-paced fabrication team. The role involves welding on carbon, stainless steel, and aluminum structures using FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW, with an emphasis on reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities include fabricating weldments to tight dimensions, coordinating with the lead welder on procedures, and continuously improving processes to reduce turnaround times

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 1+ years welding experience in fabrication with FCAW or GTAW on SCH 10 pipe.

Responsibilities

• Weld using FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW on carbon, stainless steel, and aluminum shapes, tubing and piping.
• Cut, trim, fit and fabricate weldments to dimensions for building and assembling.
• Collaborate with lead welder to ensure proper weld procedure and material are used.
• Review drawings and specifications to plan welding operations.
