Job summary

Macy’s, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Starbucks to lead the licensed Starbucks café inside Macy’s. You will oversee daily operations, drive sales, ensure brand standards, and partner with Macy’s leadership to deliver a safe, profitable, and customer-focused café experience.

You’ll recruit and develop Supervisors and Baristas, manage schedules and costs, and ensure compliance with health regulations while fostering an inclusive, high-performing team that represents Macy’s values.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of management experience in retail/restaurant/food service.
• ServSafe certified or food handler permit as required by health department.
• Must obtain Barista Basics, Barista Trainer, Daily Ops, and LS Leader certifications within introductory period.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with store leadership and teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all café operations ensuring safe, efficient, brand-right environment meeting Starbucks and Macy’s standards.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop Supervisors and Baristas to build a high-performing team.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by modeling Starbucks standards and Macy’s service expectations.
• Ensure consistent food and beverage preparation, presentation, and merchandising per Starbucks standards.
• Develop schedules and labor plans to optimize productivity and control costs.
• Manage ordering, inventory, and invoicing to meet cost targets and budgets.
• Review financial reports and act to meet sales, expense, and profit goals.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and health compliance; maintain clean café environment.
• Oversee cash handling, POS operations, and adherence to policies.
